   I have a few catergories I have set-up. E.g. Calendar and Headlines (rss feed posts) that I don't want display on the main page/home page.

   Is the there away to prevent posts from certain categories from being displayed on the on the home page blog roll
   ?

   There's a write up in the codex about doing exactly that.
