    The title pretty much explains it. I'm running Apache 2 (2.2.3) on Debian sid.

    # apache2 -M

    ...
    rewrite_module (shared)

    .htaccess is located in the root directory, and reads:

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /blog/
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /blog/index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    and I've updated permalinks from the admin page. Whenever I click on a post, I get a 404.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Does your Apache config have AllowOverride set to "None" by any chance? .htaccess files get ignored in such a scenario. Change AllowOverride to "All" instead.
