    Hey folks,

is it possible to preset the post publish date in the post creation form without modificating the wordpress kernel? If I understand it right the function which sets the date for a new post is "get_default_post_to_edit" but it offers only filters to hack the fields for content, title and excerpt. Is there another filter I am not aware of?

    Best regards
    Max

    Hi Max,

    Perhaps I misunderstand...
The easy way to set the post publissh date, is to press the 'publish[ed] on button in the right sidebar. Then set a date and time.

I think you misunderstood. The point is that I want the default date which is preselected in the article creation form to be in the future so that articles are not accidentally published.

Today it is like that: if the person who finally checks the article in our workflow forgets about setting the right publication data the article is going online immediately. If the date would be 2014 instead of 2013 there would be no problem.
