Does anyone know (if) which plugin WPMU Dev use (http://premium.wpmudev.org/) to support their Premium Membership model?
It may well be a custom plugin. If so, any other recommendations to clone this functionality?

Well wpmudev.org might be using their for-pay "Supporter Plugin" or an souped-up one, not sure.
A free plugin that works for WPMU with or without BuddyPress and includes Paypal option is s2Member WP Plugin here at WP repo or here at plugin page.
