Premalink and Page Parent Structure issue

Currently i have my premalinks set at page name, which is good for seo. Once i started to setup a structured hierarchy between the pages the premalinks changed to http://www.yoursite.com/home/products and not wwww.yoursite.com/products (this will happen if a page doesn’t have any parent pages ahead of it).

I know you can customize your premalinks, what would be the correct code or action you should take to make the necessary changes to have your main category page/post premalinks only show the title, and not the entire hierarchy?
