Support » Fixing WordPress » Pre-Set Post Won’t Publish

  • Posts that I write and set to automatically publish on a specific day and time will not publish.

As an example, I write a post and set it to publish the next day. On the “manage posts” page, I see that the content is set to publish “(number of hours) from now.”

The next day, when the content has not published at the time I set, I again look at the “manage posts” page. Now the time for publishing is in reverse order. It still says “(number of minutes/hours) from now,” but the farther it goes away from the publish time, the higher the time to be published goes.

I’ve just upgraded to WordPress 2.5.1, am not new to WordPress (so I know how to set content to publish), and have never had any problems with previous versions. The internal day and time is set correctly.

My thanks so anyone who can help me solve this strange dilemma.

    Shirley

Does anyone know in which file the publishing instructions are located so that I can attempt to troubleshoot this myself?

I know that the word is not “instructions;” I don’t know what else to call it.

    Thanks,

    Shirley
