How would I prefill the post area with some text/html tag?
I host a photolog and have to enter the <img src=… for every pic I post. I want to have that prefilled in the post area so I only have to input the filename and hit post.

  • You could always use LL’s photoblog ?
If not, then you could modify Quicktags.php to add the relevant tag when you click a box. I forget how I did it when I added a no-waypath tag, but it was fairly simple.

You can use the “upload” link/button in the admin interface.

I don’t see the upload link. Where is it?
I’m using WordPress 1.01, is it there in this version?

When writing a new entry, click on the Advanced Editing button next to publish. Then you should see an “upload a file/image” button below the text entry field.
The reason I did not specify where exactly the Upload button is in the previous entry was cause it’s different in 1.0.1 and in 1.2alpha 🙂
