Pragraph formatting vanishes in visual editor (3 posts)

    Hello,

I've recently downloaded and installed WP 3.1.1 and I keep running into this issue: I use <p align="justify"> paragraphs to format my paragraphs in the html editor but when I switch to visual, the formatting dissapears!

Is there something I can do to fix this? Or perhaps disable the visual editor altogether?

    Thanks!

Don't switch tabs. Disabling the visual editor altogether would be a good idea.

Esmi's suggestion is the way to go. Switching between editors, unless you know how to custom-configure the Visual editor, is fraught with problems.

But, if you must, use <p style="text-align:justify">.

The problem is that align is not a valid attribute. You need to use the valid attribute text-align.

Better yet: edit your Theme's style.css to apply text-align:justify; to post-entry paragraphs.
