Pproblem with dding images in posts excerpts

i am using the same theme at

the problem i am facing is i am not able to add images in the post which shd get displayed in the index page along with the excerpt.

i am not able to understand in the code if they have used any custom fields. even if they have used any how do i know the names of those custom fields??
