    I’ve tested you plugin but it does everything that I need.
    I would like that the user, on the frontend, can subscribe the post’s custom taxonomie simply by entering his email address.
    In the backed, will display the user email list associated to the subscribed taxonomies.
    When the author will publish a new post belongs to a taxonomy, all users subscribed to it will be updated via email.
    Do you think you could do this?

  • @fagfrank,

    Custom Post Types and Custom Taxononmies can already be registered in Subscribe2 You need to use the ‘s2_post_types’ and ‘s2_taxonomies’ filters as detailed here:
    http://subscribe2.wordpress.com/support/api/

    This will allow users to register for your taxonomies and they will display in the forms. The form can be displayed on the frontend for your users with this extension:

    Thanks for you quickly reply.

    I can allow to users to chose taxonomies to frontend without wordpress registration?
    The ideal scenery for me is that the frontend subscription module inherits automatically the taxonomies of post without that the user must choose it.
    I can do this?

    @fagfrank,

    I understand a little clear now. Displaying the categories on the front end would require registration first and it would not be able to inherit the taxonomy of the post – it would show all taxonomies registered in Subscribe2.

    @mattyrob,

    We have a news website based on wordpress and I would like to offer the feature that users can follow the category (custom taxnonomies) to which it belongs news.
    I would like the user to enter their email address and click on “follow topic” without registration.
    You think it is possible to adapt your module to do this?

    @fagfrank,

    I should imagine it is possible but it would be quite a lot of work.

    @mattyrob,

    You are the creator of the plugin, we might think of us for custom modification of this the plugin?

    @fagfrank,

    I’ll bear it in mind but to be honest I don’t think this feature fits very well with the aims of Subscribe2 at the moment and I don’t have a great deal of spare time to dedicate to projects of this size at the moment.
