Posts page not showing anything -.-'

hi there everyone

the posts page is not showing up on my installation.
i have reinstalled WP 3 times.

it might be the theme then again i have gone through 5-6 different themes with the same issue.

currently i have set the posts page to the header ‘Blog’ – it never shows up no matter what i do.

does anyone know which .php file might control this function/what to lookout for, etc?

help would be greatly appreciated as i am ready to rip my eyeballs out. ha (not)!
