posts on front page not displaying

    HI,
    I can get a static front page but when I select the front page to display recent posts it will not display them. What steps can I take to check the page templates, settings etc?

    Unless you provide a link to your site, no one will be able to offer much in the way of specific help.

    I have creating a static home page and manually adding code to show posts and having a dynamic front page (standard wordpress show posts page) and nothing seems to work – I know the posts are there as you can see them through the menu
