ok, i have 2 sections on my blog and i dont want both of them to be shown on the same page, and i want it so when you goto the main page it will only show "blog" and not "designs", also can somebody tell me howto set the time? im lost there(CST time please). Thanks!

So blog and design are going to be categories?
On the main page, you would exclude the design category (I use the Front Page cats plugin to do that), and then just have a link to the design category, so people can see that stuff.
