I am using WordPress 2.9 and everytime I try to add a post the first-time, I get an error that says your attempt to edit the post has failed. Please try again.
Since the draft is saving my works, I go to edit and then post again and it works.
It seems like a weird bug that will hopefully be fixed soon. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well I found some more information on it.

I did that and I am not having that problem anymore. But I don't have the autosave working anymore. Maybe someone will see this and figure out what the bug is.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
