So I can add posts to my blog page. My problem is that once they are on that page it gives a little summery, doesn't show my picture from my post, and then has a little Continue Reading link. If you click on that link the it takes me to a page that gives me "Error 403".
I can't figure out how to fix it. Can I get some help.
Hi polar2323,
The two most common causes of 403 errors message are incorrect file permissions or an incorrectly coded .htaccess file.
- Check your files/and folders and make sure permissions are set to 644 for your WordPress files, and 755 or 750 for folders.
- Try renaming your .htaccess file to anything else (.htaccess-bk would work) and let WordPress recreate your .htaccess file.
Hope this helps!

How do you check the files and folders permissions?
And I tried redoing my .htaccess file and that didn't work.
Hello again polar2323,
You can check your permissions through either an FTP program or your web host's File Manager.
Was this working in the past and stopped working after a change (adding a plugin or changing theme)?
Have you tried disabling all plugins and switching to the default theme?
Hope this helps!

Hello polar2323,
I'm sorry you're still having trouble with your site.
- Have you tried renaming your .htaccess file?
- Have you tried switching to the default theme?
- Have you disabled all plugins?
Hope this helps!

I have a similar problem, but i don“t get the error message, just nothing happens when i click the "continue reading" message. I also tried to delete and reinstall the themes and reinstall the content-single.php and content-quote.php, but that didn't work.
Hello jjnike,
I'm sorry you're having trouble with your site. I also see that you've posted to several threads here in the forum. For the best support, please start a new thread with specific information regarding your situation (links to your site are always helpful). Please also try switching to the default theme and disabling all plugins to rule out a theme or plugin related issue.
Hope this helps!

Hi ChristiNi,
Thanks for your help. Finally I found the the solution. And it was so simple..., I just changed the permalinks to default and everything works normally again.
Hope this helps someone else!
