• I’ve looked around, but don’t find anything on this.

I a Welcome post and a Test post both un-categorized. I expected posts to show up one after the other in chronological order (most recent first), but one shows up with a link above to the other.

Has something changed in WordPress since I last used it for posting?

  • Hard to say without seeing your site!

Are these both posts? Have you used a page for any of this? What theme?

The behaviour you expect is the standard behaviour… but custom themes can do just about anything

It’s a TwentyTen child theme. I have a menu tab “CDP Blog” pointing to the ‘Welcome’ post.

The site is password protected while I build it for a local group I belong to.

Hmmm…. Do you have a static page set up in settings-> reading?
Or a specific page for posts set up, in the same place?

    Yes, Front Page: “Home”
Post Page: “Blog Page” which takes you to the Welcome post.

I just set this post page. The post page wasn’t selected, because it just listed the menu items. I didn’t think it would take it to the Welcome post, but it does. But the Test post is not underneath it, but I guess it shouldn’t be since it is more recent.

The Blog Page menu item takes you to the Welcome post whether the post page is set or not.

    Is this confusing?
