Posts no longer appear on home page

Hello, I added categories to my blogs, shfited some posts to different categoies and added one blog post yesterday…and now the posts don’t show up on the front/home page. And the titles of the catergoies have moved away from the bar they were in and are now taking up room where the blog posts ought to be.

Using: Lifestyle Child Theme 1.1
I checked settings> reading and the ‘front page displays’ showed it ticked at ‘show latest reports’ and the ‘blog pages show at most’ marked at 10 so that can’t be it. I have spent the last 10 hours looking for answers on wordpress forums. One post mentioned deactivating the WD Super cache to see if it made any diff but it didn’t. I dearly need your help… Thankyou, Mel
