posts in wrong order

I’m using a custom theme and have three posts so far. The issue I’m having is this:

Post creation order is 1, 2, 3
It should be posting 3, 2, 1
Instead it’s posting 2, 3, 1

I’ve searched through the forums a lot and haven’t been able to resolve it. I don’t have any of the posts stickied, the time zone is correct, I’ve changed them all to drafts and back to being published. The posts are all separated by a couple of days too, so it’s not an issue of the time of day overlapping either.
