   Hey,

   I was wondering whether it is possible to set it up so that posts that are put into one category are shown in a featured section of the site only (just determine if the category is the one I want in PHP right?).

   But the category (and the posts within) should be excluded from elsewhere on the site (ie. category listings, the main blog page, archives etc.). I think i've found a plug-in to do this (Advanced Category Excluder).

   If I combine these two things is that the best way of doing this? Or is it a sort of roundabout way (and unnecessary)?
