Posts in archives but not on front page?

    Does anyone have a hack to enable posting entries that will show up in the time-based or category archives but not on the front page? (That is, I don’t want these entries to show up when someone just visits my main blog, but I do want them to appear in RSS and if someone drills down to the relevant category.)

    You can try the Posts By Category hack. Create a category like “news” and have every post that you want to show up in the main page have that as a cat. All other posts without that will end up in archives.

    Thanks, I was looking for a post-by-post solution, but I can make posts-by-category work by decreasing the granularity of my categories.
