this code is designed to fill the row with empty cells to finish the table properly.

there is no need/purpose to use a css style;

the code does not generate a css class .column for the td tags

you would need to make a custom query before the loop to tell the loop what posts to show.

i.e. you need to decide what you want to show in the page template, and then create the query accordingly.
