   Is there a hack that shows old posts at the top and new posts at the bottom? So if its a series visitors would start reading from the beginning not the middle.

   I see what you are talking about.
   The temporary solution (not the best) is to get Extended Live Archives and set it as your main page. Without changing any settings on the settings page of ELA, the default is so that the oldest shows first.
