   Never mind: appears that the culprit is the Custom Post Limits plug-in.

   I was just navigating my site, attempting to look over old posts by clicking the "previous entries" link at the bottom of the main page. a number of posts don't appear at all, although they are indeed published and appear when one clicks "categories" or "archive" in the sidebar or when one searches or uses permalinks.

   anyone have a clue why posts wouldn't be showing up?

   I'm using the Fractal-20 theme, which does appear to have some code oddities.
