    Hello

    My site: http://khaistatus.com/

I have few questions regarding how to display a different different category. I'm relatively new to WordPress, and I could use some help.

See, what I'm trying to do is have two separate posts for my blog and one for my portfolio gallery. If you go to the "Work" page, you can see it's empty. I want to be able to posts new designs on the work page, with like a thumbnail of the image instead of the excerpt with a title, of course. And when it's clicked, I want to have multiple images of the design in say- a custom single page.php. It's basically like a normal blog, but just for like.. a gallery. But on my main blog, I don't want those posts from my portfolio to be in my main blog for normal blogging stuff. I was thinking about just making a static website, but I don't want to go into the HTML and update the code every time I have something new to add to the gallery- I'd like it to be dynamic.

I'm sure there's a way yo do this, I just need to know how to do it the right way. Thanks.

The Blog In Blog plugin will let you create a separate blog for a category and hide posts in that category from the main blog.

You can try to create new post type for your blog, (for example 'portfolio'). Basically a new label appear in your backend, you can edit/manage it like a page or post, you can link it to category or custom taxonomy, the same in template hierarchy.
