    Newbie question here...

I have 3 categories: New, Previous Articles and the default "Uncategorized".

My Post page has a Featured slider at the top, then shows the posts underneath in order of the date posted. Regardless of the category to which I assign each post, they all show in the body of the page.

My question is...if I have a couple in the New category...and a couple in the Previous category...is there a way to give the reader the option of selecting the category? For example, all new posts are shown below...then the for Previous Posts, you would have to click a link?

Just use the Category Widget and let that present the links for your categories.

Is the Category Widget a separate download?

OK...I tried the Category Widget that comes with WordPress. The only problem is that it shows up on all my pages...not just my "post" page. I don't what all the pages to show it.

    Thoughts?

    So...just to re-cap...

I have my "post" page set as a specific page (**HR News**)...I have a static Home Page.

I would like my "post" page to show my most recent posts (category is "New") on the page itself. Then, I would like the other categories (i.e. Previous Posts) to show up somewhere on that page so that viewers can click to link to them.

Can you have more than 1 post page?

    Any thoughts?

WOW...I'm finding this hard to understand. I tried the 2nd plugin link, but nothing happened. My guess is that I'm missing something (or many things). Looks like I have alot of learning to do. I was hoping there would be an easy way to do this.

OK then...I guess I'm on my own. I did come across a site that does exactly what I want. That is...the Categories and Achrives are listed along the side of the post page...but not on any other pagee.

See how only the Blog page shows the categories and archives? How do I do that?

Use the category and archives widget.
