    I’m trying to figure out how I can get it so a post will be spread over several pages. Some posts are quite long and would require a lot of vertical scrolling which really isn’t ideal. How can I get it so after so much text, at the bottom the ‘previous page — next page’ thing shows up and takes you to the next portion of the post?

    Also, can I make it so I choose when the first page ends and it goes to the second, third, etc?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    The simplest method is to edit your post in HTML view and add the following quicktag wherever you want a postpage break:
    <!--nextpage-->

    This automatically creates a set of page numbers at the end of the post for navigating. Depending on the theme you use though it can have some unintended side-effects in terms of how the rest of the page displays.

    Alternatively, there are two plugins available to try:

    Angsuman’s Multi-page Plugin

    Tarkan’s Multi-page Toolkit

    Hope that helps.

    Ah, the nextpage tag works perfectly. I was thinking that there would be something similar to the <!–more–> tag, but wasn’t sure what it would be.

    Thanks.
