posts are reverting after a few days

I have a news section. It is a custom post type running in a loop. In the news section, there are about six posts.

I put a place holding post for the client.

They went in and updated the post.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:

The updated post keeps reverting to the original place-holder post after a day or 2…

When I go to edit the post, The new – updated information is there – but it’s not showing on the blog…

I’ve deleted the post – and re-entered it —-

and it disappeared again…

but all of the first 5 posts are there…

I don’t get it.

This has never been an issue for me.

please enlighten me… is this a caching thing?

EDIT: maybe this is a w3 cache issue… If it is… maybe you know something I don’t because that plug-in is widely enjoyed… but it always seems to just mess up everything for me.
