    Hello,
I am a newbie to Word press jumping on from Dreamweaver. This might sound daft but i wanted a website and have even made 6 pages. I realised that my "Home Page" was actually a "post" ( i must have done something silly here). When I tried to post the second time to my horror that "post" landed on top of my "home" page which I certainly do not want.
Q1. How do I make the "home" page (which is actually a POST)not a post?
Q2. I dont mind my posts landing on top of another, but not on my "Home" page.

    Please help

    My link is http://www.hghsupplementsinfo.co.uk

I wanted my post displayed individually

    Welcome to the community!

    I suggest reading this http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Semantics

Posts and Pages are 2 different things. Posts are for more dynamic content, like blog posts. Pages are more for static contact, like an "About" page, or a "Contact" page.

If you have created a post and would like to change it to a page, you will need to create a page and copy the content from the post into the newly created page.

If you want to set the Front page to be a static page, you do that in your WordPress dashboard under Settings>Reading. There you can specify which page you want to be your Blog page, and which page to be your Front page.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for your timely help mrjonwilson. At the moment i have made a POST as my front page, but i do not like my posts piling on top of each other in front page.
Moreover if i click on the link "post" list in the front page...it shows nothing? What could be the problem.
I wonder how do we change the size of alphabets, colors of texts as there are no buttons??
