    Hi All,

Several strange things, probably all related:

    - When attempting to access this page:
    http://www.popisnotsoda.com/2012/08/12/8102012/
I get a 404 error. I am the only one administrating this page, and I have not deleted this posting.
    - When attempting to log in as admin, I get an "Error: Invalid Username". Again, I am the only one administrating this page, so I would know if I had deleted this account. I last successfully changed the password to this account on 8/6.
    - When attempting to change the password again for the admin account, I get "There is no user registered with that username."
Ditto when I attempt using my email address.

    Argh!

    Any suggestions.

If you have access to the WordPress MySQL database via phpMyAdmin you can check what is the exact Admin username and reset the password from there. Refer to http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin.

Once you sort this problem out you can sort the rest.

    Thanks for the help Johnb81.

I followed the instructions and noted 2 things:
    - The database under popisnot_wp does not contain a table. Instead, I went to a database called popisnot_wrd1, which did contain a table.
    - When I hit browse on wp_users on this table, I got the following error:

    Error

    SQL query: Edit Edit

    SHOW FULL FIELDS FROM wp_users ;

    MySQL said: Documentation
    #29 - File './popisnot_wrd1/wp_users.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2)

    Looks bad, right?

It really seems like anything related to admin is gone. The website still exists, as do the header and theme, but any pages or posts created by admin are gone.

    Thanks again.

Very strange indeed. ARe you using phpmyadmin provider by your hosting provider? If that is the case simply click on the table and it should expand the table with the list of usernames.

Or else, can you explain step by step what you are doing before receiving such error?

    Hi John,

I am using phpmyAdmin as provided by bluehost, accessing it from the cPanel.
I clicked on the icon, entered my credentials.
I then navigated to the popisnot_wp database, which contained no table.
Out of curiosity, I then navigated to popisnot_wrd1, which did have a table.
I hit the browse button on the wp_users entry, which led me to the following error:

    Error

    SQL query: Edit Edit

    SHOW FULL FIELDS FROM wp_users ;

    MySQL said: Documentation
    #29 - File './popisnot_wrd1/wp_users.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2)

Things have since gotten worse, without any further intervention:
When browsing to http://www.popisnotsoda.com, I now get the following message:

    Error establishing a database connection

Whereas before, at least the sidebar and header/footer of the site used to display.

Also, when attempting to access phpMyAdmin using the same credentials as this morning, I now receive the following error:

#2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

I think it's time to contact bluehost. Correct?

    Thanks again!

    Hi Jimmy,

Yes it is time to contact your hosting provider support.

    Good luck.
