Posting several lines from the most current blog for each blog on the home page

My name is Tim. I’m a web developer. A friend has a web page and blogs using wordpress. The developer she was using deleted wordpress code from her home page and now will not return her calls. She asked me to help her get the code back. On her home page she had linked list of her blogs. I read your documentation on creating Static Home Page. Was able to use your code examples to recreate the links to her blogs. She also had underneath each link to a blog the listing of several lines of the most current blog post for each blog she has. This is my first day to look at wordpress and I know nothing about RSS. Can you tell me how I can put several lines from the most current post in each one of her blogs on her home page. Thank you
