   I am creating a website and the index page is an html page that will link then to my wordpress blog. I am new at this and I would like to know if there is a way to get recent blog postings to show on my index page and auto updated each time I post in the blog. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

   Did you ever get an answer or figure out how to do this and if so can you share it with me....

   You can't do it with an HTML page. It needs to be a page that can take PHP (so use .phtml, .phtm, or .php).
