I am a complete beginner to wordpress but quite experienced in other applications, etc. I have a quite strange situation and no matter how much I google I can not find anything about it...
When I create a new post (I have tried several clients, Qumana, Word 2007, Blogjet...) The posting process purges all the "<" and ">" (greater than and smaller than) characters from the post, thus leaving no html tags on the posts, all other characters are OK (Chinese, accented letters, etc.). If I post directly from the web client, everything works OK, so I am assuming something wrong with the xmlrpc.php, but really I have no clue where to start looking.
It has happened both in v2.9 and 3.0
Does anybody have any clue on what could be going on? I have changed charsets, everything is now UTF, but behavior is identical no matter what I do...
