Posting (both publishing and updating) move very slow and then timeout

    I literally can’t even post anything. I create or update a post, and the page loads for a while and then times out. Can someone help me debug this? I have no clue what is going on here 🙁

    seems like a timeout problem but there shouldn’t be anything particularly crazy happening on the save_post action

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    I will have to try these tonight, as my site is a live/production site.
