   Being a complete novice with customizing WordPress temps, I would appreciate if an experinece user could help we with the issue: USING POSTIE-plug with a GMAIL-account with the IMAP or POP3 feature.
   I´ve tried to install and runned the script from both pop and imap set ups, but when I run the TEST CONFIG-feature, I keep receiving an annoying message: "Mail Tests; These try to confirm that the email configuration is correct. Test Result
   Connect to Mail Host Unable to connect. The server said - Can't connect to gmail-imap.l.google.com,993: Connection timed out
   Try putting in your full email address as a userid and try again."
   Does this mean that the installing and enabling of the POSTIE PLUG is correct, or is this a message which tells the user, that some of the parameters are not correct?
   I have enabled the gmail.account and tried both POP+IMAP settings, but I keep receiving the same error message?
   Can someone help me and reply ASAP, Thanks a lot, bst rgs Andy

   Question for both of you: under "Mailserver" Postie options do you see "Mail Protocol: [POP3] IMAP/IMAP-SSL/POP3-SSL unavailable" where [POP3] is the drop-down menu (no other options?

   This is what I see and supposedly the imap extension is enabled on my server. Please let me know if you find any solution and I'll do the same.
