Postie not displaying attached videos (11 posts)

I can attach and image to an email and also send an inline youtube video without issue. When I attempt to attach a video to a email and send it in the video is added to my library, but only the text of the post appears in the blog with no reference to the video appearing.

[Excessively long debug removed - please use a pastebin]

@windmillnut - could you please repost that to a pastebin - that much code/log really is too much for these forums - http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Posting_Code ]

The video you attached has a "m4v" extension, but you didn't tell Postie that it is a valid video file type. Look in the Postie Video and Audio settings and add this extension.

I am having a similar problem, but I did allow the m4v filetype.

How do I get the attached video into the post?

Here's a pastebin of the debug (yes I know theres lots of MS word copy/paste garbage) - http://pastebin.com/Rx0W5sex

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@aquest6789 I looked at your debug log and everything looks fine. The only thing was the URL to the video didn't seem valid, but that may be because you removed it.

I need to know some more details. What exactly didn't work? There was nothing in the post? The post had a video block, but it wouldn't play? Etc.

    Wayne-
Thanks for the response. What happens (and has happened since the last post) is that the email goes to the postie mailbox with both photo and video attachments. The photos get posted fine, but the video simply doesn't show up.

Oddly, it does seem to be a piece of media that is attached to the post when I go to add it manually. So, when I know a video is being posted, I go into the post manually and insert the video shortcode for the video that is already attached (via postie) to the post.

Does that make sense? Would love any suggestions on how to fix it. If you want to take a look, let me know your email address and I can send you more info.

    Thanks!

Oddly, though I am not sure if it is related, for messages meeting the above criteria (photos, video and text), sometimes postie only creates posts with tmpTitle as the title. Could they be related issues?

    Please contact me at postie-help@devzing.com

    >tmpTitle
If you get a blank post with tmpTitle as the title that means something went very wrong and Postie crashed. If you kept the email that caused this please forward it to postie-test@devzing.com so I can see what is going on.

    Hi Wayne-

I emailed a few times now, but haven't received a response. Is there a better way to get ahold of you? We've had multiple instances of failed posts now and would love to help get this fixed as we find the plugin extremely valuable.

    thanks

Replied via email, but posting here for completeness.

Please check the video template to make sure it is doing what you want. I was able to change the template to [video src='{FILELINK}'] with good effect.

The "tmpTitle" issue is likely Postie running out of memory. Emails with attached videos need lots of RAM. The sample email was 33Gb and Postie will need 3-5x the size for processing and posting.
