[resolved] Postie and geolocation from EXIF data (4 posts)

    Hi there!

I'd like to set the geolocation meta data of my posts using postie: Postie (or any plugin) should read the EXIF data of the attached images and write it to the post meta data (eg. coordiates of the first/last/random image)
Does anyone know how to do this?
(in a further step, I want a map with all my posts linked (or a map on each post showing the location of that post - any hints welcome!)

Sorry if this topic is already solved, but I didn't find any useful hints...

Media Library Assistant allows you to extract IPTC and EXIF data, including geolocation (GPS) data, and write it to custom fields or attachment metadata elements.

Have a look at this support topic:

    Thank you for your replies!
I managed to get it working using postie and some ugly hacking - argh - long time ago - wanted to document my solution, had to hurry before the vacation, forgot to do it directly after the vacation and now, I dont remember how I did it... :-/
