Post vs. Post expanding in new page

    Should be a simple solution:
    If you look at a site such as Uncrate.com, the front page has a short description of the post with a picture. My question is this: When you click on that post, it opens up into a new page with more detail, etc.
    How can this be setup?

    Isn’t WP doing that out of the box?
    Did you try to use the “more” link in your own admin panel?
    Did you read the documentation regarding the_content and the_excerpt tags used in different template files?
