I’m looking for advice on the best way to create a gallery with 2.5. I know there are other plugins out there to hook to other apps, but with 2.5 (or atleast I’ve only seen it in 2.5), the gallery feature is pretty nice.

What makes more sense – creating a category called ‘gallery’ and then each post in the category would be treated like an album, or creating a page called ‘gallery’ and each album would be a ‘sub-page’ under it?

I now have gallery posts on my blog (philsblogging.com) and it is working quite nice. once 2.5 is stable and offers customization of the gallery feature (next, previous image links I can’t find when I want to click thru a gallery) I’ll just keep doing that and create posts that include a gallery. It’s been working like this. I am thinking of putting the overview grid of the gallery in a grey field or something, so users can see that this is a gallery.

now i am using zenphoto. you should take a look at it…

    Good point.

With sub posts, you would have a more organizated gallery style, and they also, would not go to the feeds. If you use posts under a category, then your albuns (posts) would be listed at the homepage, and also go to the feeds.

Wich one do you like a more? I’m still in doubt.
