• hi,

I have WP running on a local server to get started.

but when i try to post via email just nothing happens.
I followed the instructions at http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_to_your_blog_using_email
When i run the wp-email.php it recognizes all emails sent to my adress and lists them.

    The wp-email.php gives this output:

    Author is asdfasdaf@asdf.de

    Author is asdfasdaf@asdf.de

    Author is asdfasdaf@qwer.de

Warning: gmmktime() expects parameter 1 to be long, string given in C:\xampp1\htdocs\wordpress\wp-mail.php on line 151

    Author is asdfasdaf@asdf.de

-no entries are made in the DB

he appears to find the emails- why doesnt he post em?

I am currently trying to modify the wp-mail.php to nullify the error- but i think it’s the wrong point to begin.

    – so please help.

this usually works with a live copy of wordpress installed on a live site. a local copy wont allow you to post from email unless you make several changes. simply add posts to your local install in the dashboard. then when everything goes great, you can send an email to the live site with the same info.
