    hi
we have installed blank new wordpress on apche sever with mysql
somtimes when trying to update posts that are more than few words
the updated circle seams to be trying to updated but the site just hangs and then I get a time out page.
for few word it works great
    attached is the php.ini file.
    http://musayof.org/php.html
the max_execution_time is 20 sec - maybe it is to low ?
how can i know if it is related to mysql and not to the apche ?

    thanks

Hi mediali, what is the exact error message you get? This is important because a browser timing out is a lot different that php throwing a 'max_executing_time has been reached' error.

If you are getting a 'max_executing_time has been reached', you can try updating the 20 seconds to something more, such as 30 or 40. The problem however is that a new installation of WordPress should not be taking more than 20 seconds to load.

I suspect that your browser is actually timing out when waiting on a connection from the server. If that is the case, you may want to run a ping and tracert test to help determine where the issue is.

Hi mediali, have you been able to make any progress on this timeout issue?
