Post to a category using a short code

Is it possible to use a short code to post to a specific category. I’m trying to post from Hootsuite but it doesn’t have the option of selecting a category to post to, so I need to use something like a short code to determine the category.

I have to use Hootsuite cause its requested by the client so theres no way around the method for posting. Hootsuite is very limited in its posting ability to WordPress, it only has one text area which is for both the Heading and body. The first line of the text field is automatically pushed to the title section for a post on WordPress. It also appears as the first line in the Body, along with the rest of the text

Basically if I make a post via Hootsuite along these lines using a short code to post to a category called “Test”:

Hello World

This is a test post to category "Test"

[category Test]

Is something like this possible? If so how can it be achieved?

I haven’t been able to find a plugin which is able to do this, in most cases they all use short codes to return a list of categories which isn’t what I want
