My question is simple but I've hard a very difficult time finding any solution. I'd like to be able to create a new post and have the title link to an external url rather than the default permalink.
One example of what I mean (though I'm not sure if the site uses WordPress) would be stylegala.com. The news entries on the homepage is exactly what I'm trying to achieve where the title of the news is linked directly to the external link.
Any help is much appreciated.

I am not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this tutorial may help:

I am wondering the same thing, except i would like to know how to do this for a page. The page title links you to and external site.

Me too :-) I really have a hard time finding a solution to this. I want to do exactly what chevy409 wants ie customize the function of the_permalink() or the_title() to link the headline to posts shown on an external page.

Could just do the trick - I'll dig into it :-)
Thanks!
