Post Thumbnail Widths (6 posts)

    Hi all,

Really like this theme (threat to creativity), but it's currently showing on my site (www.lifesink.net) with front page post thumbnails (the post preview/coloured box, rather than a picture) smaller than I'd like.

I'd like to aim more for a size similar to the creator's webpage (http://maxisnow.com/), with boxes big enough to accommodate a picture as well as text.

I'm a total code virgin, so any help would be hugely appreciated. I've had a fiddle with the CSS sheet to see if I could change any values that might make any difference, but came up with nothing.

    Thanks in advance!
    Rich.

Are you aiming to the right class?

Do you know you can specify your thumbs size in the insert-image dialog box?

Afraid I'm not sure whether I'm aiming to the right class, or what that means really... I've changed a selection of numbers in the css stylesheet for the theme, but they didn't seem to have any effect.

I've managed to specify the image thumbnail size to be seen in the boxes on the main page - it's the size of the actual boxes themselves I'd like to alter, so the coloured squares are wider, and can fit more of a picture and a caption in, rather than the tiny snippet of a larger picture I have at present. I think they're being auto-sized, but I can't work out how to auto-size them to something approaching the creator's site's versions.

Thanks for the help so far!

    Richmcc_,
I just looked at your site and noticed you have it looking more like mine. So, I guess you figured it out.

    Hope it's working out well.
    Need any more guidance?

I get error messages on the home page boxes and odd positioning of the sidebar in IE for http://eurokulture.missouri.edu.

BTW, we are using this theme for a team blog. The boxes really contribute to the "variety" look of the site.
