    Hi,

i was using post thumbnail editor for my homepage and it was working fine.
Suddenly though it stopped working, i didn't installed any other plugin.
The images look cropped on the editor, but when I go back to the homepage they are not cropped anymore.
I tried to enable debug, but if i do that and go back to the editor, I can't access to it anymore (blank page).
I emptied caches as well using wp super cache and also disinstalled and re installed the plugin again.
Please help me cause it's driving me crazy!
    My website is http://www.rosannagnocchi.com

    Thank you

    Did you update any plugins?

Also, it could be one of the plugins built into jetpack which does caching of images.

I would disable all other plugins and change to the stock theme to verify that the plugin is working correctly and then change the theme back, check it, and re-enable the plugins, checking after each to see where/when the error occurs.

Also you should be able to keep debugging off, but still get error messages in both your browser console AND the server log. Make sure that you have the File logging option enabled and then after running a PTE crop you should be able to see if any errors were logged.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Yes, apparently every time I activate the jetpack the PTE stops working.
Do you know if there is any way to fix that? Especially for the view stats function of the jetpack, it is very useful.

Thank you again for your help.

De-activating jetpack didn't help me. I can't seem to get this plugin to work any more - which is frustrating as I really need it for my theme (and I got quite addicted to it!)

I've deactivated all my plug-ins, that didn't help. I've gone to a stock theme. That didn't help. I'm really at a loss. But ever since upgrading to WP 3.9, this hasn't worked.

@rosanna-rgd - I believe it's the Photon jetpack extension you just have to disable.

@miri - Try Settings → Post Thumbnail Editor and enable debugging to a file. Try again and check your browser logs (ctrl+shift+j) and the server logs(link is on the settings page).

thanks, but enabling the debugging to a file causes the thumbnail editor page to not load at all when I click on the "Thumbnails" link on an item in the media library.

Here's what the console screen says:

Consider using 'dppx' units instead of 'dpi', as in CSS 'dpi' means dots-per-CSS-inch, not dots-per-physical-inch, so does not correspond to the actual 'dpi' of a screen. In media query expression: print, not all, (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.25), (min-resolution: 120dpi) upload.php?page=pte-edit&pte-id=52400:22

I then turned off debugging and tried to update a thumbnail (via the Thumbnails link on an item in the media library). This is what the console screen showed me:

From what I can tell there's definitely a conflict with another plugin. Backbone shouldn't be getting loaded (do you know what loads notes-common-v2.js or admin-bar-v2.js)...

Here's the best way to try to access the editor (minimizing the chance that another plugin could be interfering), load the image in the wordpress image editor (Media → Edit; then click "Edit Image", right-click and copy the link to for the Post Thumbnail Editor and open it in a new tab/window).

First, thanks so much for your continued attempts to help. I really appreciate it.

Hmmm...I think that might be the JetPack notifications module which I had to disable before but it somehow got enabled again on JetPack upgrade. (that's just so wrong.)

I've disabled that, but things are still not working. Now, when I click on "crop and save", I get this in the console:

TypeError: Cannot read property 'thumbnail' of undefined
        at Object.<anonymous> (http://www.nadalnews.com/wp-content/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/js-build/main.js:20:130854)

        at s (http://www.nadalnews.com/wp-content/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/js-build/main.js:20:33804)

I also get this error when trying your method of getting to the thumbnail editor screen.

Do you get anything different with debugging on? There should be a better stack trace when debugging is enabled, even though it might look worse. Also, this might be a spot where the server logs might help.
