Post that allows HTML to pass through (4 posts)

I would like to create posts on my blog without WordPress trying to interpret my code. I am happy to write my posts using straight-up HTML.

I find that in various situations, WordPress inappropriately strips slashes, backslashes, double-quotes, quotes, backquotes and the like. And there is no way to tell WordPress to lay off.

I don't want to use markdown.php or textile1.php or textile2.php or the WordPress pseudocode system. "Mime" doesn't work for me (and I haven't seen it work for anyone else). Alex King's "WP-Unformatted" doesn't go far enough, "wysiwygii" doesn't help either.

I want to write an HTML blog and have WordPress display it. I understand that I'll have to use lots of escape codes for things like quotes, greater-than, less-than, etc.

    Can anyone help? Bueller? Bueller?

I'm getting the feeling HTML in posts won't work in WP since there's been no response....true?

It doesn't seem to accept ANY HTML...even simple quotes and link descriptions.

Has anyone done a plug-in or "fix" because I can't believe folks don't want to use it.

Thanks for any help...sorry I'm so ignorant of how WP works.

Have you considered turning off the WYSIWYG editor?

Alex King's "WP-Unformatted" doesnt go far enough??? That removes all formatting from my posts. I use it constantly. Mind you I am not using 2.0.2 with that lovely wysiwyg editor.

Unless something has changed I cannot see why disabling the editor and using his plugin wouldnt fix it for you, if only on a post-by-post basis.
