Post summery in category view.

    Hello. I’ve been working on getting a new template how I would like it. I’m having a few problems. one of wich is:

    when I click on a category, I would like it to only show partial posts and not the full texts. some of my posts are pages long (movie scripts) and it’s not very practical to browse them that way.

    it used to work on my old template. can anyone point me in the right directon on how to get that working again?

    does your theme have a category.php file?

    read up on ‘excerpts'(do a search). copied the code. took awhile to find what i was looking for with all the code in my template but, I found what i needed to replace in the index.php file.

    now anything on the front page is fulltext. while viewing in catagories or archives it shows a summery of the post and not the whole thing
