Post status rewrite rules

Hey there,

I’m terriblle with all that rewrite stuff. Just can’t get my head round it. For a plugin I need to add the post status for a custom post type just before the slug, so something like this:
mysite.com/post-type/post-status/post-slug/

Can’t figure for the life of me figure out what rewrite rules to add to make that happen. Any pointers in the right direction would really be appreciated.
