post-sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format.

    I submitted sitemap_index.xml to wm tools, but it complains about the post-sitemap.xml.

    I says, “Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.”

    The other sitemaps in the index are just fine.

    What’s going on?

    Hello,

    Getting the same error in my Google webmaster tools dashboard, on the Posts sitemap only.

    (Custom Post Type, Page and etc. sitemaps seem to be fine. Error is dated 10/01/2013.)

    I am getting this as well on GWT for all of my sites. Any help anyone?

    My errors are dated 10/19/2013.
