Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I've got almost everything complete on my new site and am just wrapping up a post and have run into a snag that i can't figure out.
I've inserted an image into my post. I originally had it aligned left with the text wrapping, but didn't like the way it looked, so i enlarged the image and reset it to align center, with the text below it. I hit update, but the live web page isn't reflecting the change. it still has it aligned left. I tried another brower, i emptied my cache... nothing. The really odd thing is that when i am on the post edit page, if i click "view page" it appears correctly... aligned center. And if I click "preview" it's also correct. but no matter how many times i refresh my browser window on the live page its still the old version. any ideas?
(also, the main reason i changed my mind on the image alignment was because i couldnt get my text next to the image to be lined up with the top of the image. i could get it to start a little higher than the image or a little lower, but not in line with it. any ideas on that too? since i do want to use left align in the future and would love for it to look tidy)

    my site is http://www.littlegreenorchids.com

    thank you!

Have you tried making any other changes to your post to see if they are reflected on the live page? Try, for instance, removing the image and seeing whether that is reflected on the live page. And then try re-inserting the image.

Regarding your parenthetical question: for left-aligned images, you can get your image to align perfectly with the top of your text if, in your CSS stylesheet, you set the margin of img.alignleft to margin: 3px 7px 3px 0. Here's what it looks like with that setting.

Also, I don't know if this was your intention, but the image for your post has a white bar at the top of it, which is clear if you put the image on an off-white background. This will naturally make the image look misaligned with the text next to it. You might want to remove that and re-upload the image.

thanks so very much for all of that!
the mysterious white bar at the top of my image was definitely causing a problem and i had no idea it was there. thank you! and that margin tweak was very helpful.
there was definitely some sort of glitch happening with my image alignment last night and this morning... i kept futzing around with deleting the image, checking the live page, re-inserting it, checking again, changing the alignment from left to right to center, and most of the time the live page did not reflect any changes, while the preview was correct. it would randomly work about one in five times. so odd. all of a sudden now it's behaving normally. crossing fingers that the bug has worked itself out? i was starting to worry that i had done something awful with my style sheet at some point and messed everything up.
anyway, thanks so much for your assistance. greatly appreciated. :)
