When I publish a new post that has a link to a previously published post, for some reason I get a comment in that previous post pointing to the new post. I understand why some might want that functionality, but I do not. How can I turn it off?

Posted 7 years ago #Uncheck 'Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)' -- tis the only way. Personally I kinda like having those comments show up ....

admin panel > Options > Discussions >Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.) uncheck that box.
